Opening Reception: Thursday, February 22, 6-8PM.

Emily Mason will be included in the group exhibition “Tide Pool” at Kasmin Gallery, on view until March 30, 2024.

From the Kasmin Gallery website: “Tide Pool includes artists predominantly associated with Abstract Expressionism and the New York School. Reflective of a period of American art history in which the principles of abstract painting dominated for over a decade, and an inflection point loomed for many artists still wrestling with an impetus to return to representational forms, this exhibition examines the myriad creative directions chosen by a generation of artists.”

The exhibition also includes work by Mary Abbott, Nell Blaine, Lynne Drexler, Jimmy Ernst, Sam Francis, Jane Freilicher, Grace Hartigan, Elaine de Kooning, Robert Motherwell, Pat Passlof, Fairfield Porter, Hedda Sterne, and Anthe Zacharias.
